In May 2025, ERT proudly welcomed Vir Thanvi as our new Vice President of Enterprise Engineering.
With over 25 years of distinguished leadership experience across U.S. Federal Government agencies in the Exploration and Space Communications realm and the satellite ground systems domain, Vir will be pivotal in shaping ERT’s further expansion into these areas.
Before joining ERT, Vir was an executive leader with the Exploration and Space Communications (ESC) Projects Division at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He played a central role in leading NASA’s Near Space Network (NSN), under the auspices of Space Operations Mission Directorate / Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program, enabling communications and navigation services for NASA’s human spaceflight and robotic space missions, through innovation, commercialization, and strategic partnerships across government and industry. The NSN provides Space Relay and Direct-to-Earth communications and navigation services to the mission from surface of the Earth to 2 million Kilometers. Vir is a recipient of the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal, multiple NASA honors, and industry recognitions for leadership excellence.
