NOAA ProTech Fisheries Domain

The mission and objectives of the primary users of the ProTech-Fisheries domain are related to NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA Fisheries, or NMFS) and the U.S. Fisheries that NMFS support and the important role in the nation’s economy that provide opportunities for commercial, recreational, and subsistence fishing, and sustainable seafood for the nation. Sustainably managed fisheries also contribute to a healthy and resilient ecosystem. NOAA Fisheries is responsible for the stewardship of the nation’s ocean resources and their habitat. NOAA Fisheries provides vital services for the nation: productive and sustainable fisheries, safe sources of seafood, the recovery and conservation of protected resources, and healthy ecosystems.
